Seahawks Reflect On Social Justice Helmet Decals
Throughout the 2020 season, Seahawks players chose to represent social justice initiatives and honor victims of racism and police brutality with helmet decals to show their support.

Black Lives Matter - "I chose 'Black Lives Matter.' It's a true statement. We've been through a lot and everybody knows it, and if they don't know it they should take the time to learn it. Besides that, I wish I could put everyone's name on my decal. Until then, 'Black Lives Matter' it is." – Shaquill Griffin

Trayvon Martin - "It was one of the biggest ones that I remember...I wanted to represent him as a black man in knowing that this is the start of change and we are going to continue to fight, black men as one." - Jamal Adams

George Floyd - "I chose "George Floyd" because the situation was so eye opening and it just shows that we have so much work to do as a country and we have to take the right steps to get there." – Ethan Pocic

Emmett Till - "I chose Emmett Till mainly because he's from Mississippi, I'm from Mississippi and systemic racism has been going on for quite some time. I think us being from the same place really just shows how long it's been going on." – DK Metcalf

Trayvon Martin - "It was one of the biggest ones that I remember...I wanted to represent him as a black man in knowing that this is the start of change and we are going to continue to fight, black men as one." - Jamal Adams

It Takes All of Us – "The Seahawks are guided by overall principles of acceptance and understanding that help us create a culture of respect, equality and inclusiveness both on and off the field. We, as an organization and as individuals, represent and respect a wide range of human differences, personal experiences and cultural backgrounds. We stand with Seattle, and every community in uniting to help heal our society." – Seattle Seahawks
