The #12Tour makes its first stop in Leavenworth

Sea Gal Ashley - The charity I chose to represent was Orca Conservancy. Orca whales have been my favorite animal ever since I was a little girl. I love to go whale watching with my family every fall! Unfortunately, the whales habitat is dwindling. Orca Conservancy is an all-volunteer, Washington State, non-profit organization working to protect the wild places they depend on. 

Sea Gal Bianca - I wore a ribbon on my poms to bring awareness to this issue and support the many organizations that fight human trafficking among them the Salvation Army Anti-Trafficking SA and the Blue Heart Campaign. Human trafficking exists and is still everywhere in 2017. Some of the most important things that we can do is look for the warning signs and spread awareness. 

Sea Gal Brittany - All dogs deserve a home . Forgotten Dogs Rescue helps provide care for dogs and facilitates the adoption of dogs who would otherwise be euthanized.I personally adopted my sweet pitbull named Mocha from Forgotten Dogs Rescue . Mocha has become part of our family . It feels good to adopt and not shop especially when there are so many dogs who need a good home !

Sea Gal Christian - I chose Transverse Myelitis, because my sister Jenny was affected by TM in 2010. It's a non trauma spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed from the chest down over night. Her strength & positivity inspires me everyday. My heart goes out to all that have been affected by this horrible disease & I will continue to do anything I can to help raise awareness. 

Sea Gal DeDjuana - I chose to support Multiple Sclerosis research as my mother has MS.

Sea Gal Frankie - I chose ALS,  Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.In 2010 my family lost a dear friend to this disease. It began with her slurring her words and some muscle loss, eventually putting her in a wheelchair. When she was diagnosed they told her she had 6 months to a year to live. She died just before a year of being diagnosed. She traveled to all her friends and family after being diagnosed and spent as much time with them as she could. The disease took over quickly and in her last months she was bed ridden and unable to speak. She was a VERY caring person who always put everyone's needs before her own. Today I wear this ribbon for her hoping to bring more awareness to this disease.

Sea Gal Hailey - I picked Stevens Johnson Syndrome which is a extremely rare disease that affects less than 20,000 Americans each year. It's a serious skin disorder that usually comes on as a reaction to some medication or infection. I grew up dancing with my friend Hayley, who was affected by SJS in high school. She passed away almost exactly 6 years ago which is why I thought it would be great to honor her as I know that she would likely be an amazing Sea Gal too. We always talked about hoping to continue to dance together as we grew up. 

Sea Gal Hannah - A cause I'm passionate about is Sustainable living and saving the earth. Taking care of our planet is our duty for future generations and fighting climate change. Sustainable Northwest believes a healthy economy, environment, and community are indivisible, and that all are strengthened by wise partnerships, policies, and investments. Donate now and let's save Mother Earth together. 

Sea Gal Jessica B. - The Ronald McDonald House has been hosting a family that is close to my heart. Their little girl, Kalena, is currently battling leukemia. The Ronald McDonald House has given them a close and friendly place to stay during treatment since they live over an hour away from the Children's hospital. It is an amazing non-profit organization that truly makes a difference in these families lives!

Sea Gal Jessica -  I am fortunate to have volunteered for Provail here in Seattle. Provail is a local nonprofit organization that that helps children and adults with disabilities fulfill their life goals through mobility, communication tools and employment opportunities. My favorite part has been assisting with their employment opportunity and development. These programs enable participants to seek and obtain meaningful employment that makes them happy and fulfilled, while receiving guidance along the way. 

Sea Gal Kali - I represented the National Compassion Fund. This organization provides a platform for the public to donate to those that have been affected by mass crimes such as mass shootings. My high school classmate, Chrissy Duarte, was a victim of the Las Vegas shooting this past October. She was a shining light that was tragically taken from us way to soon. I am so grateful to have a platform to bring awareness to an organization that has the ability to help all victims and their families. 

Sea Gal Karley - I support Alzheimers Awareness for my father.

Sea Gal Kiana - I chose the Angel Wings Foundation because it is very near and dear to my heart. It was founded by Holly, who happened to be one of my dance teachers, and her husband John with the simple idea of reaching out and making a difference. They come alongside those who are in a hard season to meet their needs and provide hope. They are dear family friends who started this and I admire everything they do with this foundation. 

Sea Gal Kristin - The organization I chose is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to honor my friend and former teammate, Angela Mack. I think it is extremely important to bring awareness to something that can be completely prevented. Suicide affects so many people and mental health should be discussed openly. It is okay to reach out for help. No one should ever feel so hopeless and alone. Angela was a shining star in this world and is missed every single day.

Sea Gal Kylie - I wore green to represent kidney disease awareness. My grandpa battled kidney disease for 8 years up until his final days in 2013. Although he had to complete kidney dialysis 3 days a week (for 3.5 hours a session), he never let it dull his spirit. He was one of the funniest people I know. I miss him everyday!

Sea Gal Michelle - I picked blue and white pin stripes to represent ALS awareness. My childhood babysitter who is like family, and her husband Carl recently found out that he's been diagnosed with ALS and this has been an extremely hard time for them. He's a fighter and even volunteers his time to research to help with their studies and finding a cure! He's very near and dear to my heart and I wanted to show him that he's not alone in this battle. Thank you!

Sea Gal Milena - The Boys and Girls Club of America provide such a wonderful safe haven for children of all ages. Not only do they help provide today's youth with a positive environment, they promote amazing programs that let children explore different aspects including athletics, education and arts! I'm excited to support an organization that has made an outstanding impact on kids lives that will last them a lifetime! 

Sea Gal Monica - There is a special place in my heart for both dogs and veterans. So for #MyPomsMyPassion, I chose to represent Freedom Service Dogs of America – a nonprofit organization that rescues shelter dogs to train them as service animals for veterans and more. I'm so grateful that the Sea Gals are able to use this platform to raise awareness for different causes!

Sea Gal Myriah - I would like to bring awareness to pregnancy and infant loss. My sister unfortunately had a stillborn after being pregnant for 38 weeks and 5 days. My soon to be niece, Zion, nuchal cord was wrapped around her neck 4 times resulting in her leaving us to soon. This game day I will be dancing with this ribbon in my pom honoring my sweet baby niece and hoping to bring awareness to all the babies who leave the world too soon.

Sea Gal Shayne - For #MyPomsMyPassion I chose to represent the One Love Foundation which is an organization very close to my heart. They are dedicated to spreading awareness of the more subtle signs of relationship abuse so that it can be spotted and hopefully stopped before it escalates.

Sea Gal Stephanie - I am an animal lover so My Poms My Passion cause is Saving Great Animals. This cause is a matchmaking rescue organization that focuses mainly on dogs. They use a trial adoption program, which includes training and counsel. My friend, who I've danced with, volunteers with this program and told me about it. She has help so many shelter dogs find their new homes. Please help support and remember, adopt don't shop. 

Sea Gal Bronwyn - Starting dance at age three, I was exposed to body-image issues and eating disorders as early as kindergarten.  I watched countless instructors, fellow company members, and mentors struggle with eating disorders, all of whose habits ended up influencing my own.  While I consider myself one of the lucky ones, it was always bittersweet watching others suffer in silence, whether it was due to a lack of a support system, unaffordable treatment costs, or other issues.  

Sea Gal Dayla - My poms my passion is to have a greater awareness for the National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. (PTSD). Nancy, a former coworker that I greatly admired whose military husband struggled with this disorder ended his life. It's my passion because my boyfriend and so many others are surviving in the armed forces.

Sea Gal Morgan - I decided to support the ASPCA, because I believe that animal abuse is an unacceptable and inhumane act. Domestic animals, like children, are dependents and should be treated with love and respect. 

Sea Gal Olivia - I chose Special Olympics because I am passionate about how Special Olympics allows people with all abilities to participate in sports they love. I have a cousin who has benefitted from being participating in Special Olympics as a child and through his years as an adult. I am also a teacher who teaches students with all abilities and have seen the wonderful impact Special Olympics plays in their lives.  

Sea Gal Michaela - I will be tying this ribbon on my poms to represent Make a Wish Foundation. I had the privilege of working with this foundation earlier this year and what they do for these kids is AMAZING!
