Neiko Thorpe re-joins Seattle's coaching staff after spending the 2024 season as the team's player engagement/football operations assistant. This will be his third season as a coach for Seattle; serving as a defensive assistant in 2023 and the 2022 season as a coaching intern.
Thorpe played in 88 games over nine seasons in the NFL after being originally signed by Kansas City as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He played for Kansas City (2012), Oakland (2014-15), and Seattle (2016-20). Thorpe became a key cog on Seattle's special teams unit and was named a captain three times (2018-20) by his teammates. For his career, Thorpe tallied 40 special teams tackles and two fumble recoveries on special teams.
Born on February 11, 1990, Thorpe played in 51 games at Auburn, helping the Tigers capture the 2010 BCS National Championship. Majored in philosophy.
