Chip Suttles is entering his 13th season with the Seahawks as Vice President of Technology. He is the voice in guiding the values and mission related to the technology needs of the Seahawks and First & Goal Inc. As an IT professional for 32+ years, Suttles is responsible for aligning cutting edge technology with the overall business strategy of the organization -- by modernizing technology, his team aims to enhance the performance of the organization, improve the customer/fan experience, and drive increased revenue. His areas of focus include maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure, investing in the modernization and innovation of Lumen Field's stadium technology, supporting player performance analytics, and enhancing the organizations' mobile phone applications. He also oversees the IT Cyber Security tools and systems that help protect the organization's network(s). Suttles joined the Seahawks after working for the Vancouver Canucks as Director of Technology in 2010-11. Prior to his tenure with the Canucks, Suttles worked as the Director of Broadcast Integration for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC). Working with VANOC marked Suttles fourth time participating in the Olympic Games -- he had previously served in various technology roles in support of the Olympic Games in Torino, Salt Lake City, and Atlanta. Suttles and his wife, Lauren, have two sons and a daughter. Suttles was the recipient of a 2020 Seattle CIO of the Year ORBIE Award and currently serves as the Seattle Chapter Chair. He was also recognized as the 2021 HMG, CIO Award winner for executive technology leadership. He enjoys participating in a variety of recreational sports and actively supports his community's local youth football organization.
