Goines is entering his 16th NFL season and 11th overall with the Seahawks in 2024. As Chief Legal Officer, Goines oversees the corporate legal affairs and government relations strategy and policies for the Seahawks and First & Goal Inc./Lumen Field. Goines works closely with the organization's business leadership to strengthen relationships with corporate partners, and civic and community organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Goines works with local, state, and federal government leaders across a range of significant matters. He also works closely with human resources and DEI leadership to promulgate strong organizational policies, procedures and codes to support our workforce. Prior to his work with the Seahawks, Goines was Assistant Chief Counsel for The Walt Disney Company. Before Disney, he served as General Counsel and Vice President of Business Affairs for the San Francisco 49ers. His work in the entertainment and sports fields also includes serving as in-house legal counsel for Major League Soccer, Ticketmaster, and Mattel. Goines began his law career as an associate in the Los Angeles office of Baker & Hostetler. A graduate of University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 1992, he obtained a bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1988. Goines was born and raised in Hot Springs, Ark.
