Joey Laine joined the Seahawks as vice president of football administration on April 1, 2024, bringing nearly two decades of NFL front office experience. He most recently served as the Green Bay Packers salary cap analyst in 2023. Laine spent seven seasons (2015-21) as the Chicago Bears director of football administration, working as the chief contract negotiator and overseeing the overall health of the club's salary cap and strategic planning, while ensuring CBA compliance. He also monitored league-wide transactions and analyzed statistical and market trends. Prior to his time in Chicago, Laine spent 10 seasons (2005-14) with the New Orleans Saints, including the last six seasons as the team's salary cap analyst/player personnel. In that role, Laine assisted with the daily management of the salary cap and player contract and salary analysis. He first joined the Saints in 2005 as a football operations intern before earning the role of player personnel assistant. Laine is a graduate of the University of New Orleans with a degree in business administration and earned his MBA from Tulane University.
