Matt Capurro enters his 21st NFL season and 15th season with the Seahawks, third as Vice President of Coaching Operations. Capurro works directly with Head Coach Mike Macdonald and is responsible for coordinating the team's day-to-day operations, including overseeing player and staff communications and managing the year-round football schedule, which includes the offseason program, OTA days, mini-camps and training camp. Prior to joining the Seahawks, Capurro spent one season with the USC Trojans (2009) and six seasons with the Oakland Raiders (2003-08). In 2009 with the Trojans, as director of football operations, he worked directly with Pete Carroll and coordinated all of the football team's day-to-day operations, managed the year-round football calendar, planned all travel logistics for home and away games, directed USC football camps and clinics, and served as liaison for the football department within the athletic department. In his six seasons with the Raiders, Capurro spent five seasons (2004-08) as assistant to the head coach where he coordinated all day-to-day operations, and spent his first season (2003) as a coaches assistant. During that span, he worked for Bill Callahan, Norv Turner, Art Shell, Lane Kiffin and Tom Cable. Prior to that, Capurro was a football operations intern for the Raiders for five years (1998-02) under Jon Gruden and Callahan. The Bay Area native earned his degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco in 2003. He lettered in football and baseball at St. Vincent High School in Petaluma (Calif.), and he and his wife, Emily, have two daughters, Gianna and Cecilia.
