COLLEGE: Totaled 163 tackles, 24 passes defensed, three interceptions in 34 career games (33 starts) at Houston. Was a two-time captain with the Cougars (2020-21) and earned honorable mention All-AAC honors in 2020. Spent his first two collegiate years (2017-18) at Highland (Kan.) Community College before earning a scholarship at Houston.
PERSONAL: Grew up in Miami, but went to two different high schools in Georgia. Did not play organized football until his junior year of high school. Prepped at Community Christian School (Stockbridge, Ga.) his senior year and recorded 19 touchdowns while playing on both sides of the ball. Prepped at Lovejoy (Hampton, Ga.) High School his junior year. Goes by the nickname "Pepe," given to him by his Spanish godmother.
