COLLEGE: Spent four years at Rice, where he totaled 94 career tackles, 4.5 sacks, 10.5 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles. Started all 12 games as a senior in 2019. Selected as one of three co-captains by his teammates prior to the start of the season and registered a career-high 42 tackles, plus 1.0 sack and 3.5 tackles for loss. Was an honorable mention All-Conference USA by conference coaches and a third-team selection by PFF. Named a semifinalist for the National Football Foundation's Campbell Trophy that honors college football's top scholar-athletes. Named to the Conference USA honor roll. Started five games as a junior in 2018. Ranked second on the team with five tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Saw action in all 12 games and totaled 16 tackles as a sophomore in 2017. Had nine tackles on the year as a true freshman in 2016.
PERSONAL: Attended Mansfield Summit High School in Arlington, Texas. Was a second-team all-state on offense and All-District 14-5A on both offense and defense as the Jaguars finished 10-2 and were Bi-District champions. Dual regional qualifier in shot and discus and a regional qualifier in power lifting as a junior. Majored in kinesiology at Rice.
