With the kickoff to football season around the corner, Delta and the Seattle Seahawks have teamed up once again to reward Seahawks fans and Delta customers for their loyalty. This year, Delta is adding a few new benefits and returning priority boarding access for those fans ready to cheer on their team as 12Status members.
Originally launched ahead of the 2016 season, Delta – the official airline of the Seahawks – is embarking on its sixth year of 12Status. The loyalty program rewards Seahawks fans for the team's performance on the field with miles through the Delta SkyMiles(R) program and other exclusive benefits.
Starting Aug. 26 and throughout the 2022-2023 season, 12Status members will earn one mile for every Seahawks passing yard during all home and away games and have access to three new benefits added to the program this year.
- Priority boarding for 12Status members in Main Cabin 1 is back! Members can take advantage of this benefit during the season when departing from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
- 12% off purchases on the 12th of each month during the 2022-2023 season at the team's official Seahawks Pro Shop stores in Renton, Washington and at Lumen Field.
- 12% off products during the season from Hyperice, the official recovery technology partner of the Seahawks.
"From field to flight, we love rewarding fans for their loyalty to the Seahawks and Delta," said Joan Wang, Delta Managing Director, Pacific Northwest. "That's why we are so excited to begin our sixth season with 12Status, where every member wins - Delta is ready to make this the best season yet."
Like all Delta SkyMiles, miles awarded through the program do not expire and can be redeemed for travel across Delta's global network, travel with our partners, Delta Vacations packages, seat upgrades and more. Additionally, discounts through 12Status can be applied in combination with season ticket holder discounts.
Since the program launched in 2016, milestones include:
- 4.1 billion total miles redeemed.
- 220,000 tickets flown to 550 unique destinations.
- Las Vegas being the top redemption travel destination for 12Status members.
- Mauritius being the furthest redemption destination flown by a 12Status member.
"We are proud to partner with Delta to bring 12Status back for the sixth season," said Amy Sprangers, Chief Revenue Officer, Seattle Seahawks. "This innovative program continues to provide fans with exceptional opportunities to pair their passions for travel and football together and be rewarded in the process."
As Seattle's largest global carrier, Delta offers over 150 daily departures to more than 50 destinations, including service to popular international cities such as Amsterdam, Incheon, London, Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo. Fans can also cheer the Seahawks on the road with daily, nonstop flights to well-known NFL destinations like Detroit, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Phoenix.
Delta's SkyMiles program is free to join and is required to enroll in 12Status. 12Status is exclusive to Washington State residents, who can sign up for or re-enroll their 12Status membership at 12Status.com to begin earning miles week one of the regular season. Members from previous seasons are encouraged to renew (re-enroll) their membership on the site before the first regular-season game on Sept. 12.
For the sixth consecutive year, Delta's SkyMiles program outperformed all global airlines and secured the No. 2 spot overall in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of airline loyalty programs. This year, among other criteria, U.S. News focused on honoring programs that continued to be flexible with members due to the coronavirus pandemic.
