For the second straight season, the Seahawks had two players named to the Professional Football Writers of America's All-Rookie team.
Devon Witherspoon, the fifth pick in the 2023 draft, was one of two cornerbacks selected to the All-Rookie team, while safety Jerrick Reed II, a sixth-round pick, was selected as a special teamer.
Last year, cornerback Riq Woolen and Kenneth Walker III made the PFWA All-Rookie team. Before that, the last time the Seahawks had two players on the PFWA All-Rookie team was 2015 when Tyler Lockett and Thomas Rawls were both selected.
Witherspoon, who played both outside cornerback and nickel, finished fifth in the league with 16 passes defensed, also adding eight tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and an interception, which he returned 97 yards for a touchdown, helping him earn NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 4, and NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month honors for October.
Reed's season was cut short after just 10 games due to a knee injury, but he made the most of a shortened season, making nine tackles on special teams, a total that was tied for third most on the team despite missing almost half of the season.
