Pete Carroll joined 710 ESPN Seattle's "Brock and Salk" on Monday morning to review his team's 29-13 Week 11 win over the San Francisco 49ers at Seattle's CenturyLink Field. Here's five injury updates from the Seahawks head coach:
1. Marshawn Lynch
Carroll didn't have much new information on the status of running back Marshawn Lynch, who is en route to Philadelphia to see a specialist for the abdominal injury that kept him out of yesterday's win over the Niners.
"He's probably still flying," Carroll said. "He's just trying to get there today. Tomorrow will be the meeting with him and then we'll figure it out from there."
Lynch's abdomen injury has had him listed as questionable the past two weeks. He played in Seattle's Week 10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, but couldn't get going pregame against the 49ers and was held out as a result.
"We'll see what happens," Carroll added. "We have asked for [the specialist's] cooperation throughout and he just felt like he needed to see him to really be able to make sense of all the information that he has. He's the guy. He's the one that everybody goes to. We'll know something in the next couple days and we'll figure out what that means and we'll move ahead with that information."
2. Doug Baldwin & Patrick Lewis
Sunday's ankle injuries to wide receiver Doug Baldwin and center Patrick Lewis don't sound too serious according to Carroll.
"Both those guys a little sore today," Carroll said. "Both those guys have very optimistic first accounts here on Monday."
3. Justin Britt & J.R. Sweezy
Two other offensive linemen, left guard Justin Britt and right guard J.R. Sweezy, sustained stingers in Sunday's game. Carroll said he thinks both players are "fine."
"They both were kind of laughing about the fact they had something," Carroll said. "I don't know how that happened, bounced back."
4. Paul Richardson
Wide receiver Paul Richardson, who was held out against the 49ers because of a hamstring injury he suffered the week prior, will have a "challenging" time making it back for Seattle's Week 12 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"That's probably going to be really challenging," Carroll said. "We've got to see. He did not run full speed last week at all, he just jogged, so we'll see what happens. He's going to have to make progress. This is almost always a two-week deal with hammys at best, so we've got to see what happens and it'll just be up to rehab and see if he can turn the corner."
5. Jeremy Lane
Cornerback Jeremy Lane, who started the season on the team's physically unable to perform list after suffering arm and knee setbacks in Super Bowl XLIX, returned to practice recently but has not yet been added to the 53-man active roster. Carroll said Lane has a "really, really good chance" to contribute this week.
"He just has to come back a little bit better from one day to the next," Carroll said. "We always say that, you know, 'How is he the next day?' That's what we keep looking at and he's needed the work and he's going to need some more. He's only three weeks back at this time, so we'll see if we can get that done. If he can respond well then we're going to get him out there. We'd love to get him to contribute. He's a big-play guy and we'd love to have him out there."
The sun was out, the 12s were out, and the Seahawks got it done at CenturyLink Field, sweeping their NFC West rival, San Francisco 49ers for the season with a 29-13 win.
