Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today — Friday, May 4 – about your Seattle Seahawks:
John Schneider On 710
Seahawks general manager John Schneider joined 710 ESPN Seattle this week and touched on a few topics, including Seattle's 2018 draft class that was selected a week ago.
Seattle drafted nine rookies, including: RB Rashaad Penny, DE Rasheem Green, TE Will Dissly, LB Shaquem Griffin, CB Tre Flowers, P Michael Dickson, OT Jamarco Jones, DE Jacob Martin and QB Alex McGough.
As the Seahawks begin rookie minicamp this weekend, a lot of eyes will be on Griffin — the twin brother of Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin — and first-round pick Rashaad Penny, who Seattle selected at No. 27 overall.
"He was splitting time last year with (Donnel) Pumphrey and never complained about it once," Schneider said. "But when you're studying Pumphrey, you're like 'Holy smokes, who's number 20?' He continued that this year. Every time he touched the ball, he's one of those guys you just kind of hold your breath."
