Good afternoon, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today — Friday, April 6 — about your Seattle Seahawks:
Re-picking 2012 NFL Draft Quarterbacks
With the Baltimore Ravens adding 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Robert Griffin III this week to backup Joe Flacco, Will Brinson of CBS Sports fired up the time machine and decided to review the quarterback prospects from the 2012 draft class.
In a re-draft of quarterbacks, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson topped the list at No. 1 as the "no-brainer" choice at the top of the draft. Wilson, who has performed at an MVP level and helped guide Seattle to their first Super Bowl victory in 2013, has a huge gap over the other quarterbacks according to Brinson:
Wilson should have been in the discussion all along for the top of the draft -- he was outstanding at two different schools, playing well in an up-tempo, spread-style system at NC State and then in a pro-style, power-run, play-action system at Wisconsin. Everyone agreed he had the pedigree and the talent and the skillset, but he was just too short. Whoops.
