Head coach Mike Macdonald had a surprise visitor on the sidelines of Sunday’s win against the Denver Broncos.

During the home opener on Sunday, the team hosted Seahawks Legends for "Legends Weekend." Amongst many others, former players like Steve Largent, Marshawn Lynch, Kam Chancellor, Cliff Avril, and Doug Baldwin, were recognized before the game against Denver kicked off.

As only he might, Lynch stayed around after kickoff and hung around on the sidelines during the matchup. Towards the end of the first quarter, cameras caught him going up to head coach Mike Macdonald and talking while the game was going on.

"Yeah, never had a former player talk to me mid-game," Macdonald said in his postgame press conference. "It's pretty cool. I was like, we have another three quarters to play. It's awesome."

Macdonald said Lynch was talking to him about the defense, seemingly oblivious to the shoulder rub. When asked if that was the first time it had happened to him, Macdonald laughed, "Is that what he did? I guess I blacked out."

And though Macdonald was not in Seattle when players like Lynch were playing, he says he's a fan.

"He's one of my favorite players of all-time. He's incredible," Macdonald mused. "I found myself talking to him as they were taking the field. I was like, oh, shoot, I need to call on first down."

Marshawn Lynch, truly one of a kind.
