Michael Bennett celebrated the Seahawks' NFC Championship win with a joy ride.
Shortly after Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson connected with wide receiver Jermaine Kearse for the game-winning 35-yard score, the Seahawks defensive end borrowed a bicycle from a member of the Seattle Police Department who was working security at field level and took it for a victory lap on the CenturyLink Field turf.

Seahawks receivers Jermaine Kearse and Doug Baldwin shout just moments after Kearse's 35-yard game-winning touchdown catch in overtime. Both Kearse and Baldwin had tough afternoons (Kearse targeted four times, all resulting in interceptions and Baldwin with a fumble and a drop) before each had big receptions in the final drive.
Seattle's defense was stifling the Vikings who tried a reverse, only to have cornerback DeShawn Shead make a diving tackle for a six-yard loss on the play.
"I took it from the cop and just rode it around the stadium," Bennett said in the locker room following his team's 28-22 overtime win against the Green Bay Packers that ensures the Seahawks a shot at defending last year's Super Bowl title. "I bike all the time. I'm a real biker. I've got three bikes at my house, so I was just having fun.
"Best bike ride I've ever had."
Down 16 points at halftime, Seattle found a way to finish in the second half. The Seahawks scored all 28 of their points after the break, using a fake field goal for a touchdown, scoring runs from Wilson and Marshawn Lynch, and Kearse's clutch grab in extra time to top the visiting Packers.
"We came together," said Bennett. "We could have easily turned down and just said the game was over, but we never did that. Everybody just kept playing. That's what you've got to do in that situation."
As NFC champions, the Seahawks will square off against the AFC champion New England Patriots two weeks from today. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, Feb. 1 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
"I can't wrap my head around the fact because it's so surreal right now," Bennett said of earning a return trip to the NFL's biggest game. "I knew we were going to win the game, but the fact that we did it, it's just special."
