2002: The Seahawks unveil their new uniforms during a presentation at the team's new stadium. The new look includes blue helmets, after 76.6 percent of the 64,513 fans who voted in a weeklong contest opted for the switch from silver helmets – the first time in NFL history that fans chose part of a team's ensemble.

2006: Pro Bowl linebacker Julian Peterson is signed as an unrestricted free agent. A Pro Bowl selection in 2002 and 2003 with the NFC West rival 49ers, Peterson would be voted to the Pro Bowl in each of his three seasons with the Seahawks.
