Eight-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy is released after 11 seasons with the Seahawks. Kennedy leaves as the most-decorated defensive player in franchise history. He would be added to the team's Ring of Honor in 2006 and voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012. During his career with the Seahawks, Kennedy also is named NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1992), voted All-Pro four times and selected to the NFL Team of the Decade for the 1990s.
