2010

John Schneider is named general manager. Schneider had worked for the Seahawks in 2000. After making more than more than 550 roster moves in his first 2½ years with the club, Schneider and coach Pete Carroll had a team that went 11-5 in 2012 and won the franchise's first road playoff game since 1983; captured the NFC Championship after going 13-3 and wining the Seahawks' first Super Bowl last season; and won another NFC title to return to the Super Bowl this season.

1976

Lloyd Nordstrom, spokesman for the majority owners of the team, dies of a heart attack while vacationing in Mexico.

2000

Gil Haskell is named offensive coordinator on Mike Holmgren's staff. Haskell replaces Mike Sherman, who leaves after one season to become head coach of the Packers.
