2002: The team announces a redesigned logo and new colors – Seahawks blue, Seahawks navy and Seahawks bright green – to coincide with the move into its new stadium that was built on the site where the Kingdome had been and also the move to the NFC West as part of the NFL's realignment. "The new Hawk, he's leaner, he's meaner, he's tougher, he's got a little attitude, and I think he's ready to compete in the NFC," then-club president Bob Whitsitt said.
