A look at some memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on March 12:
2013: The versatile Percy Harvin is acquired in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings for the Seahawks' first-round draft choice and a seventh-round pick in 2013 and a third-round pick in 2014. Harvin was sidelined most of his first season after having hip surgery Aug. 1 and getting a concussion in the divisional playoff game against the New Orleans Saints. But he averaged 24.2 yards on his 10 touches – including an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Super Bowl; a 58-yard kickoff return against the Vikings in his only regular-season game; and a 30-yard run against the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl. Harvin was traded to the New York Jets last October.
1993: Ferrell Edmunds, a two-time Pro Bowl tight end for the Dolphins, is signed in Plan B free agency. He would start 23 games in the next two seasons, catching 24 passes in '93.
2011: The 136-day lockout begins, which erases the offseason and also pushes back the free-agent period.
