RENTON, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks and Boeing announced today seven organizations to receive 2017 Legion of Youth Powered by Boeing (LOY) game tickets. The Seahawks and Boeing will select one additional organization to join LOY this season. Interested organizations are encouraged to submit nominations to www.seahawks.com/legionofyouth. Nominations must be submitted by September 30.
LOY is a unique community program created in 2014 to provide Seahawks game tickets to community organizations that serve youth throughout the Northwest. LOY provides 100 game tickets to a group or organization each regular season home game.
Legion of Youth Powered by Boeing recognizes and rewards students who are committed to their school work, demonstrate leadership, and are active in the community. It also recognizes kids who may be facing difficult challenges and need a positive boost.
During each of the eight regular season games, 25 students will each receive four (4) game tickets, breakfast with a special visit from a Seahawks legend, concession vouchers, and a Legion of Youth Powered by Boeing sweatshirt.
The Seahawks and Boeing select the community groups that receive the tickets. The recipients for 2017 are: Black Pilots of America (9/17 vs. San Francisco), Cocoon House (10/1 vs. Indianapolis), Contest Winner TBD! (10/29 vs. Houston), Washington Green Schools (11/5 vs. Washington), Treehouse (11/20 vs. Atlanta), Washington State Science & Engineering Fair (12/3 vs. Philadelphia), Hillside Youth Center (12/17 vs. Los Angeles Rams), and Lummi Youth Academy (12/31 vs. Arizona).
The Seahawks and Boeing are committed to helping provide safe, healthy activities for local youth.
