RENTON, Wash. – Following a successful debut in 2022, the Seahawks' 50/50 Raffle program will return for the 2023 season with Starbucks coming onboard as a new presenting partner.
Raffle tickets for the 50/50 electronic raffle ticket program will be sold at each Seahawks home game, starting with the team's preseason game on August 10. Fans 18 and older can purchase tickets for a chance to win half of that game's total jackpot. The other half goes to the Seahawks Charitable Foundation and is distributed evenly at the end of the season to the team's Spirit of 12 Partners. The total donation is then generously matched by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. In its inaugural season, the program raised more than $450,000.
The 2023 Seahawks Spirit of 12 Partners are:
- American Cancer Society
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound
- Boys & Girls Clubs of King County
- FareStart
- NAMI Seattle
- Northwest Harvest
- Plymouth Housing
- Seattle Pride
- Task Force 12
- Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Foundation
- Young Women Empowered
- Youth Achievement Center
Starbucks has a shared commitment to strengthen the communities they are in and will be the presenting partner of the program for the 2023-2024 season. As part of the initiative, the Seahawks and Starbucks will jointly support various Spirit of 12 partner community events througout the year. Starbucks partners (employees) will have the opportunity to support the program by volunteering to sell 50/50 Raffle tickets on Seahawks gamedays.
"Starbucks is proud to continue to support local organizations which make a difference in people's lives, right here in our hometown," said Lindsey Derry, vice president of brand & partnership marketing at Starbucks. "Our partnership with the Seahawks is grounded in our commitment to community in SoDo and across King County, and our partners (employees) are deeply passionate about the opportunity to uplift people in need and address the very real challenges our neighbors face, every day."
"Boys & Girls Clubs of King County was honored to be selected for the inaugural year of the 50/50 raffle Spirit of 12 partners. It was an excellent opportunity to get our volunteers involved throughout the season and they all loved representing our organization," said Jayme Hommer, Chief Development Officer, Boys & Girls Clubs of King County. "The funds raised through the raffle make it possible for young people to participate in Boys & Girls Clubs programs regardless of their ability to pay. We can't wait to be a part of the fun again this season."
To purchase 50/50 raffle tickets, fans can look for the Seahawks 50/50 sellers at kiosks located thoughout the stadium. An updated jackpot will be projected throughout the game on stadium signage. Raffle sales begin upon gate opening and conclude at the end of the third quarter. Winners are announced during the 4th quarter of each game, and later posted to Seahawks.com/5050.
