RENTON, Wash – The Seahawks and UnitedHealthcare announced today that Coach Tom Tri of Lake Stevens High School and Coach Travis Domser of Chelan High School are the Week Three NFL High School Coaches of the Week for the state of Washington.
Under Coach Tri's leadership, the Lake Stevens Vikings moved to 3-0 after beating their top league opponent, Monroe 73-28. The team has six consecutive conference titles under Coach Tri, who also has coached in the East West Game as well as the Under Armor All American Game. The Lake Stevens Vikings are known for their tremendous effort and spirit.
Coach Domser's Chelan Mountain Goats are now 3-0 after a 41-6 win over previously unbeaten South Whidbey. Coach Domser has been the Head Football Coach of the Chelan Mountain Goats since 2013 and has continued to build a quality football program during his tenure. The Mountain Goats are known for playing with great character, discipline and sportsmanship. Coach Domser has also been an involved member of the Washington State Football Coaches Association.
The Seattle Seahawks High School Coach of the Week Program, presented by UnitedHealthcare, promotes the importance of youth football. Each week during the high school football season, the Washington State Football Coaches Association selects two high school football coaches as the Coach of the Week winners. Each recipient receives a $500 grant from the NFL toward their football program. At the conclusion of the high school football season, one coach will be selected as the NFL High School Coach of the Year for the state of Washington, and will receive a $2,000 grant from the NFL and $10,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare.
