Beginning with Jane's Addiction in 1986, he went on to shape the sound of the alternative rock scene. Over his career, he earned five Grammy nominations and worked with major labels like WB Records, Capitol Records, and EMI Music. He was a key member of Infectious Grooves (1991-1993), earning two Grammy nominations. In 1997, he formed Banyan and released three albums with EMI. Later, he joined Panic Channel (2006) under Capitol.
