The Seahawks waived nose tackle Cameron Young on Wednesday, opening up another spot on their 90-man roster ahead of this week's draft.

Young, a fourth-round pick in the 2023 draft, appeared in 16 games with one start as a rookie, but was limited to just one game in 2024 due to a knee injury.

After waiving Young, the Seahawks have 68 players on the roster heading into the draft, though outside linebacker Kenneth Odumegwu does not count toward the 90-man limit as a part of the league's International Player Pathway Program. That means Seattle has up to 23 spots they can fill this week with draft picks—they currently hold 10 picks—or undrafted free agent signings.

The Seahawks kicked off their offseason workout program on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 with an on-field workout and a lifting session at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
