Seahawks Legend Ricky Watters Named 12 Flag Raiser For Season Opener vs. Rams

Seahawks Legend and 35th Anniversary Team member Ricky Watters to raise the 12 Flag for the Seahawks’ season opener against Rams.

The Seahawks kick off the 2023 NFL season Sunday, against the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field. Before kickoff, Seattle will get a hand in raising the 12 Flag from Legend running back Ricky Watters.

The 2022 Pro Football Hall of Fame semifinalist nominee spent his final four seasons of a 10-year career with the Seahawks, recording 4,009 rushing yards, 22 rushing touchdowns and four receiving scores. As a dual-threat back, Watters caught 166 passes for an average of 8.9 yards per catch.

Prior to joining the Seahawks, Watters was a five-time Pro-Bowler with the 49ers and Eagles, and he rushed for more than 1,000 yards in seven of 10 seasons, finishing his career with 10,643 yards and 91 total touchdowns.
