After being nominated the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award following Week 12, Seahawks defensive lineman Leonard Williams was named as one of eight finalists for the award this week.
The award, created in 2014, honors former Steelers owner Art Rooney Sr., and recognizes the player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents and integrity in competition. Each NFL team nominates a player for the award each season.
If Williams wins, he would be the second Seahawks player to win the award after linebacker Bobby Wagner became the first Seahawks player to win the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award in 2023.
The eight finalists will be listed on the Pro Bowl ballot this month for players to select a winner and the winner will be announced during NFL Honors on Thursday, February 6.
