The Seattle Seahawks have released cornerback Cary Williams, the team announced this afternoon.

Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have released cornerback Cary Williams, the team announced this afternoon.

Williams started all 10 games played and was inactive for the past two games in his first season with the club. He recorded 44 tackles (28 solo), one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one touchdown this season.

In his eight-year career, he has started 75 of 97 games played with 320 tackles (260 solo), 3.0 sacks and nine interceptions.
