Renton, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks have terminated the veteran contract/failed physical of tight end Zach Miller, waived/non-football illness tackle Garrett Scott, waived defensive tackle Jesse Williams and signed defensive end Greg Scruggs to a one-year contract, the team announced today.

Miller signed with Seattle in 2011 after four seasons with the Oakland Raiders and played in 48 games with 46 starts, recording 102 receptions for 1,092 yards and eight touchdowns with Seattle. His 2014 season was cut short after three games and six catches for 76 yards due to an ankle injury and ending the season on injured reserve.

Scruggs was drafted in the seventh-round (232nd overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent 2013 on injured reserve and played in three games last season before landing on injured reserve for the season. In three seasons, he has played in 15 games with eight tackles (six solo) and 2.0 sacks.
