Seahawks Make Roster Moves

Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have released wide receiver Chris Matthews and signed wide receiver Kevin Smith from the team's practice squad to active roster, the team announced this afternoon.

Matthews signed with Seattle on February 18, 2014 and played in 12 regular season games in his Seahawks career, recording four receptions for 54 yards. In the postseason, he played in three games and had four receptions for 109 yards with one touchdown in Super Bowl XLIX.

Smith signed with Seattle on February 9 and spent this season on the practice squad.
