Renton, Wash.- The Seattle Seahawks have released center Drew Nowak, signed tight end Chase Coffman, released defensive end Julius Warmsley from the practice squad and signed wide receiver Deshon Foxx and defensive tackle Justin Hamilton to the practice squad, the team announced today.
Nowak started seven of eight games played at center but was inactive the past three games. He signed to Seattle's practice squad on September 3, 2014 and made the transition from defensive tackle to center.
Coffman was drafted in the third-round (98th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals and has also spent time with Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Tennessee. He has played in 36 career games with three starts and posted 14 receptions for 148 yards and one touchdown. The Titans released him on October 31.
Foxx spent time with Seattle in training camp but was released on August 31 and Hamilton re-signs with Seattle after being released from the practice squad on November 26.
Warmsley signed on November 28.
