The Seahawks kept their playoff hopes alive with a 23-6 win over the Jets on Sunday, but head into the final week of the regular season not fully in control of their playoff destiny.
At 8-8, the Seahawks are in contention for the seventh and final Wild-Card berth, as are the Lions and Packers, who are also 8-8 and face each other in Green Bay in Week 18.
For the Seahawks to make the playoffs, they need to beat the Rams at home next weekend, and they also need a Lions win over the Packers or a tie between those two teams. In the event of a Lions win and a Seahawks win, the Seahawks would hold the tiebreaker by virtue of their head-to-head victory, whereas if the Packers and Seahawks both finish 9-8, Green Bay would advance due to a better conference record.
