Seahawks Re-Sign Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson

Tarvaris Jackson has spent the past two seasons backing up Russell Wilson.

Renton, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, the team announced this afternoon.

Jackson, entering his fourth season with the club, has spent the last two seasons as a backup to Russell Wilson and played in one game last season (at Arizona, 12/21/14), completing his only pass for no gain. He started 14 of 15 games played in 2011 for Seattle, posting career-highs in attempts (450), completions (271), yards (3,091) and touchdowns (14).

Jackson was added to the roster after defensive end Ryan Robinson was waived/injured (Achilles) on June 15.

Backup quarterback Tarvaris Jackson agreed to terms on a new contract with the Seahawks.
