Seahawks Release Tackle J'Marcus Webb

The Seahawks released tackle J'Marcus Webb Tuesday, opening up a spot on their 53-man roster.

The Seahawks made a roster move Tuesday, releasing offensive tackle J'Marcus Webb. Seattle currently has one open spot on its 53-man roster.

Webb, who signed with Seattle as a free agent this offseason, started the first three games of the season at right guard in place of an injured Germain Ifedi. Since Ifedi's return, Webb has played on special teams and occasionally on offense as a sixth linemen in heavy packages. He was inactive for the first time this season when Seattle hosted Philadelphia on Sunday.

Prior to signing with the Seahawks, Webb played in Chicago, Minnesota and most recently with Oakland, where he started 16 games last season.
