Seahawks Select Miami Running Back Travis Homer No. 204 Overall In 2019 NFL Draft

The Seahawks added depth to their running back position in the sixth round of the draft.

The Seahawks added depth to a talented backfield in the sixth round, selecting University of Miami running back Travis Homer with the 204th overall pick.

Homer, who is 5-foot-10, 202 pounds, rushed for 985 yards and four touchdowns on 164 carries last season, and the year before he gained 966 yards on 163 carries, scoring eight touchdowns. He also caught 38 passes for 405 yards over the past two seasons.

Homer enjoyed a strong performance at the scouting combine in Indianapolis, running a 4.48-second 40-yard dash, while also ranking among the top running back performers in the broad jump, 3-cone drill, short shuttle and vertical leap.

He'll join a Seahawks backfield that includes Chris Carson, who last year became Seattle's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2014, as well as 2018 first-round pick Rashaad Penny.

With pick No. 204 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks selected Travis Homer, a running back out of Miami.
