Seahawks sign defensive tackle T.Y. McGill

Renton, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks have waived/injured defensive end Tory Slater and signed defensive tackle T.Y. McGill, the team announced this afternoon. McGill participated in Seattle's rookie minicamp last weekend on a tryout basis.

McGill started 21 of 49 games played for North Carolina State and collected 131 tackles (78 solo), 10 sacks and 24.5 tackles for loss in his career.

Slater was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 8.
