Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have released quarterback Jake Waters and signed wide receiver Deontay Greenberry, the team announced this morning.
Greenberry originally signed with Dallas on May 8 but was released on August 21. He was the University of Houston's leading receiver last season with 72 receptions for 841 yards and six touchdowns. He finished his three-year collegiate career ranked eighth on Houston's all-time list with 201 career receptions and became the sixth receiver in school history to record two seasons with at least 70 receptions (82 receptions for 1,202 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2013).
Waters signed with Seattle on August 18.
