The Seahawks waived long-snapper Nolan Frese Wednesday.
Frese, 25, spent last season as the Seahawks' long snapper before injuring his ankle in the final game of the regular season.
Frese was replaced by Tyler Ott, who handled long-snapping duties in Seattle's two playoff games, then was brought back to compete for the job this offseason. Ott, who played at Harvard, had appeared in four games prior to last year's playoffs, three with Cincinnati in 2016 and one with the New York Giants in 2015.
Ott is now the only long snapper on the roster, and the Seahawks currently have one open spot on their 89-man roster.
