Seattle Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett is eight years into his career and continues to exhibit greatness, whether or not it gets noticed. And five games into the 2022 season, Lockett is amongst the league's most-dangerous wideouts once again.
After being held to three catches for 28 yards in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos, Lockett has been red-hot for the last four weeks. Sunday marks the fourth-straight game for Lockett with five or more receptions, recording five for 104 yards.
In Seattle's 39-32 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Lockett scored his first touchdown of the year, and in fact he scored two.
Lockett currently ranks No. 8 in receiving yards league-wide (406) and tied for seventh in receptions (32).
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll discussed Lockett's two-touchdown performance following the loss.
"Exquisite football," said Carroll. "We've seen him do this so many times over the years. He had a huge game against the Cardinals, a couple of years ago, maybe last year, just making those phenomenal back of the end zone catches in traffic and trouble and all that. He is just a tremendous football player. He just continues to show it. He had a phenomenal day."
Seattle will need Lockett's reliability as they look to right the ship and get back to .500 this week against the Arizona Cardinals at Lumen Field.
