Good afternoon, 12s.
Here's a look at what's out there for today — Thursday, November 16 — about your Seattle Seahawks:
NFL.com Ranks All Eight League Divisions
As the NFL regular season continues to wind down, NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt ranked the best divisions across the league from one to eight.
The NFC West division that includes the Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers ranked third on Brandt's list as the team's have combined for an 18-19 overall record with a combined point differential of plus-26. Here's why Brandt placed them there:
*I gave the NFC North the slimmest of edges over the NFC West based on its superior combined point differential, but you could swap these groups and I wouldn't complain. The Los Angeles Rams have the top point differential in the NFL (134), with the top scoring offense (32.9 points per game) and the third-best scoring defense (18 points per game). They are the biggest surprise in the NFL this year. Seattle took a hit when it lost Richard Sherman to a ruptured Achilles, and the Seahawks have a tough schedule, but both Los Angeles and Seattle are capable of reaching the Super Bowl. Arizona is talented but has been held back by injuries, while San Francisco is building for the future. How the Rams perform against the Vikings this week will tell us a lot. *
