Good afternoon, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Tuesday, Jan. 26 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Seahawks Kicker Joins Rugby League Practice
If you've been following Steven Hauschka on Instagram lately, you know that the Seahawks kicker is enjoying an offseason vacation in New Zealand with his wife, Lindsey. The Seahawks kicker has been sharing photos of his impromptu trip on social media and yesterday took time out of his holiday to join the Vodafone Warriors at training.
"Our season finished up about a week and a half ago and my wife and I booked a last-minute trip over here," Hauschka told the National Rugby League team's website. "And this was one of the priorities - get to speak with some of the kickers over here and I wanted to come visit practice."
Hauschka spectated the club's on-field session before spending one-on-one time with Warriors halfback and goal kicker Shaun Johnson. The pair exchanged insight on their respective kicking styles at the NRL and NFL levels.
"It was really interesting to me," Hauschka said. "Really fun just to see another aspect of it culturally. It's an amazing game and it's something that most Americans don't know much about. My dad actually played rugby in college, so I knew about it because of that, but I never played myself. But it looks like a beautiful game with a lot of flow to it. It was nice to see football in kind of a different way, it's kind of mixed together with like soccer and American football. It's a unique sport."
The Warriors' full interview with Hauschka is embedded for you above.
