Alex Collins and Kerry Hyder Jr. both came off the COVID-19 list this week, but are inactive for Sunday’s game against the Bears.

The Seahawks got several players back from the reserve/COVID-19 list this week, and while receiver Tyler Lockett and running back Travis Homer will play against the Bears on Sunday, running back Alex Collins and defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr. are both inactive.

Also inactive, as expected, is linebacker Jon Rhattigan, who left last week's game with what Pete Carroll called an ACL injury, and who was ruled out on Friday.

The Seahawks will be thin at cornerback with both D.J. Reed and Bless Austin on the COVID-19 list, leading to what likely will be Jon Reid's first start as a Seahawk.

Also still on the COVID-19 list and out for Sunday's game are defensive tackle Bryan Mone, right tackle Brandon Shell and tight end Will Dissly.

Active for the Seahawks are five players who were elevated from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements: defensive tackle Myles Adams, safety Josh Jones, tight end Tyler Mabry, linebacker Edmond Robinson and receiver Cody Thompson.

The Bears inactives include their top two quarterbacks, Justin Fields and Andy Dalton, meaning Nick Foles will get the start. Left tackle Jason Peters is also inactive due to injury, and will be replaced by Teven Jenkins.

Here are the inactives for both teams:

Seattle Seahawks

  • QB Jacob Eason
  • RB Alex Collins
  • DE Kerry Hyder Jr.
  • LB Jon Rhattigan
  • C Dakoda Shepley

Chicago Bears

  • QB Justin Fields
  • QB Andy Dalton
  • WR Jakeem Grant Sr.
  • DB Xavier Craword
  • OL Jason Peters
  • OL Lachavious Simmons

Seattle Seahawks players arrive at Lumen Field for Week 16 vs. the Chicago Bears on December 26, 2021.
