Became the fifth player in NFL history to have 300-plus passing yards, 4-plus passing touchdowns, one-plus rushing touchdowns and a passer rating higher than 155, joining Josh Allen (10/1/23 vs. Miami), Drew Brees (12/29/13 vs. Tampa Bay), Ryan Fitzpatrick (9/9/18 at New Orleans) and Aaron Rodgers (10/20/19 vs. Oakland).
COLLEGE: Started 46 of 50 games during his collegiate career, completing 883 of 1,553 passes (56.9%) for 12,193 yards with 99 touchdowns and 39 interceptions in addition to rushing for 437 yards and nine scores. Threw for the second-most passing yards (12,193) and third-most touchdowns (99) in Southeastern Conference history during his four-year career at Missouri. Ended his career at Mizzou ranked second in career passing yards and touchdowns, while setting 10 of the top-25 single-game passing yardage marks in school history. Finished his senior season with career-best marks in completion percentage (62.9), interceptions (8), completions (275), rushing yards (175) and rushing touchdowns (6). Accounted for 34 total touchdowns (28 passing, 6 rushing). Did not throw an interception in six of his final seven games as a Tiger and had just two interceptions on his final 214 pass attempts on the season. Led the NCAA (FBS) and set the Southeastern Conference and Missouri records for passing touchdowns (44) while helping the Tigers reach a bowl game after starting the season 1-5. Finished the campaign with 242 of 419 passing (57.8%) for 3,964 yards with 44 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Took over as Mizzou's starting quarterback over the final eight games while playing in all 12 games as a true freshman. Was the first Mizzou true freshman to start at quarterback since 1995.
PERSONAL: Threw for 63 touchdowns and 12 interceptions between his junior and senior seasons at Lee's Summit (Mo.) High School. Chosen as the Kansas City Star All-Metro Player of the Year after throwing for 2,731 yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior. Received numerous Division-I basketball scholarship offers.
