COLLEGE: Started 40 of 57 games in his career. In 2024 as a senior, earned first-team AFCA FCS All-American honors after starting all 15 games at left tackle. During that season, Sundell helped pave the way for an offense that ranked fourth in the FCS with an average of 237.3 rushing yards per game while leading the nation in rushing touchdowns (47) and offensive touchdowns (69). Prior to moving to left tackle, Sundell was a three-year starter at center.
PERSONAL: Was a four-year letterman at Maryville High School and a two-time all-conference tackle and defensive end. Named the 2017 Class 3 Offensive Player of the Year as the Spoofhounds went 13-2 and won the state championship. Was an all-district and all-state first team selection in 2016 and 2017.Also played basketball and was the founder and president of Maryville High's bass fishing club team. Graduated from NDSU in December 2021 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Sister, Serena, is a senior basketball player at Kansas State. Father, Robert, played basketball for Northwest Missouri State, and mother, Korena, played basketball at Missouri-Rolla.
