COLLEGE: Over his five-year (2017-21) career at Michigan, played in 50 games with 24 starts at linebacker, collecting 242 tackles (113 solo), 15.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception and five passes defensed. Recorded double-digit tackles in seven career games, and was a two-time team captain for the Wolverines (2020-21). As a graduate student in 2021, earned third-team All-Big Ten honors after starting all 14 games and leading the team with a career-best 106 tackles, including nine tackles for loss and a half-sack. Won the Roger Zatkoff Award as Michigan's top linebacker. Shared the Robert P. Ufer Bequest with Brad Robbins, honoring the senior who best demonstrated the most enthusiasm and love for Michigan.
PERSONAL: Prepped at St. Mary's Prep (Detroit, Mich.) High, where he helped lead the team to three consecutive MHSAA D-III State Championships (2014-16). As a senior, recorded 136 tackles (78 solo), 19 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one interception. Earned 2016 MLive Detroit Defensive Player of the Year and 2016 MLive Detroit Defensive Dream Team honors in his senior year. As a junior in 2015, registered 173 tackles (110 solo), 22 tackles for loss, nine forced fumbles, 8.0 sacks and three interceptions. Was a two-time selection to The Detroit News All-State Dream Team (2015-16).
