COLLEGE: Mills ranked tied for ninth all-time in career sacks at Notre Dame with 17.0, and was the 14th Notre Dame player to record 15.0 or more sacks in his career. Was a 2024 team captain for the Fighting Irish that reached the national title game and was named second team All-American by ESPN and The Sporting News. Posted the best game of his career in the dominant 52-3 win over Florida State in 2024, posting 3.0 sacks and five tackles. Started 35 games and appeared in 39 over the past three seasons, recording 108 tackles, 13.5 sacks and 20 tackles for loss over that span, including 7.5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss last in his final season.
PERSONAL: A four-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN.com coming out of Lake Forest High. Was ranked the no. 161 overall player nationally, no. 9 strong-side defensive end nationally and no. 3 player from Illinois by Rivals. In just seven games in 2019, posted 45 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and five sacks. Was named to the 2019 News-Gazette All-State football team. Also participated in track & field, competing in the shot put and discus. Enrolled early at Notre Dame, beginning in the spring semester of 2020.
