On this day in 1997, Seahawks Legends Shawn Springs and Walter Jones were selected in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Seahawks. Former defensive back Shawn Springs was drafted third overall and played for seven seasons with the Seahawks. Former offensive tackle and Pro Football Hall of Famer Walter Jones was drafted six overall and is a member of the Seahawks Ring of Honor.
