DETROIT—The Seahawks will be without five key players on defense when they face the Lions on Monday night.
Before leaving for Detroit, the Seahawks ruled out outside linebackers Boye Mafe and Uchenna Nwosu and defensive linemen Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II, and Seattle will also be without starting linebacker Jerome Baker, who was listed as questionable on Saturday's injury report.
With those players out, the Seahawks elevated outside linebacker Tyus Bowser and defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna from the practice squad, and both are active. The Seahawks will lean on Dre'Mont Jones and Derick Hall to lead the way at outside linebacker with no Mafe and Nwosu, with Bowser and Trevis Gipson also chipping in, while on the defensive line, Jarran Reed, Johnathan Hankins, Mike Morris and Myles Adams will lead the charge with Williams and Murphy out.
The good news on the injury front is that running back Kenneth Walker III is back after missing the previous two games with an oblique injury.
The Lions, meanwhile, will be without safety Brian Branch and Pro-Bowl center Frank Ragnow.
