After the bye week and a chance for players to rest and recover, things are looking positive for DK Metcalf who was sidelined in Weeks 8 and 9 with an MCL injury.

"Doing well," head coach Mike Macdonald said on Metcalf. "Optimistic. We should see him on Wednesday out there (at practice)."

There is also a chance that Abe Lucas, who practiced on Monday, will make his Seahawks debut on Sunday against the 49ers, after being on the physically unable to perform list all season.

"Abe practiced today and San Francisco is a realistic expectation at this point," Macdonald said.

"I think that the best version of Abe is going to give us the best version of our offensive line, so we want to make sure that he's ready to go. But from what I saw today, he looked really good, looked good last week, and there's a timeline here that we're kind of abiding by and there's certain milestones and hurdles you need to cross in order for him to play his best ball. So hopefully that's this week."

Also on Noah Fant, who sustained a groin injury during practice before the bye, "He's doing well," Macdonald said. "We'll see as the week kind of progresses here, but not sure about the game Sunday."

Both K'Von Wallace (ankle) and George Fant (knee) left the Seahawks game against the Rams with injuries and Monday afternoon Wallace was added to injured reserve with an ankle injury. Macdonald did not have an update on Fant.

Despite Wallace being placed on injured reserve, Macdonald said he feels good about the players at safety despite the injury.

"Fortunately, we still have some really good players on the roster. Coby [Bryant] is playing really at a high level. Julian [Love], Jerrick Reed hasn't had an opportunity to do it on defense yet, so we have confidence with him and then we have some guys on the practice squad that can come in and play for us but we haven't worked all that stuff out for this week and who's going to be up and all that, but we'll be all right."

And on Uchenna Nwsou, there are no updates.

"We're still optimistic to get him back at some point," Macdonald said.

The Seahawks returned to practice on November 11, 2024 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center as they begin their week of preparation for Week 11.
